Ace Centro Enterprises (ACE) supplied a Dragflow Dredging Pump and a Hydraulic Power Pack to a Beach Resort in Salalah - Oman. Every year during the khareef (monsoon) season, the resort was plagued with accumulation of sand and silt, thus demanding maintenance work on the marina beach area.

Problem : The beach resort was facing a problem of getting their boats into the marina, because of the accumulation of sand and silt every monsoon season. They needed to deepen the marina’s intake channel from the existing 3.5 m to 6 m.

Solution : Based on 2 site visits conducted by ACE sales and service personnel, they supplied the perfect solution for the problem: a Hydraulic Pump HY50/108B with a capacity of upto 200 m³/hr along with two Agitators EXHY20, since the sand was compacted in some areas of the marina.

A Diesel-Hydraulic Power Pack DP085/160E22 driven by a Caterpillar C9 engine was also supplied to power the pump along with required hydraulic oil hoses.

The equipment was commissioned along with Dragflow engineers on the client’s landing craft. For better aesthetics, the discharge hoses were buried under the beach.

The client was very satisfied with the solids output of the pump.
